In this podcast clip, I share how the 5 Voices framework has helped me communicate change more effectively by adapting my message to different communication styles.
Change has always come naturally to me. As a Creative Pioneer, I am energized by new ideas, growth, and transformation. I tend to see what is possible before others do, and I am comfortable moving quickly toward that future.
What I have learned through experience, however, is that vision alone does not drive successful change. Communication does.
In my leadership journey, I realized that while change felt clear and exciting to me, it did not always land the same way for everyone else. Different people process change differently. Some need clarity and structure. Others need time, reassurance, or practical steps. Without intentional communication, even good change can create uncertainty or resistance.
That is where the 5 Voices Communication framework has been incredibly valuable.
The 5 Voices model helped me better understand my own communication style while also recognizing how other voices hear, process, and respond to change. Instead of communicating from my natural default, I am more deliberate about adjusting my message so it connects with all voices on the team.
This has changed how I lead during transitions. I spend more time explaining the why, outlining the how, and creating space for questions and feedback. I am more aware of when to slow down, when to reinforce clarity, and when to invite collaboration.
